This website details what I know about the origins of my Mother's parents, William Thompson and Rebecca Ann Fyffe of Shaneragh Townland southwest of Dromore, County Tyrone, Ireland (now Northern Ireland).

William and Sarah had 11 living children; 8 lived to marry and have children, resulting in 25 grandchildren.

"My" Thompson family are first known to arise in or near Collow Townland, west of Drumquin, in the West Longfield Civil Parish in County Tyrone, Ireland (now Northern Ireland) from the 1800's

"My" Fyffe family are first known to arise in or near Archill Townland in the Ardstraw Civil Parish (Strabane Lower portion), Drumlegagh, about 4 miles north of Drumquin, 21 miles NW of Omagh, in the middle of a triangle between Drumquin, Castlederg, and Newtownstewart.

My sources include my own written records from interviewing living persons, my Mother's written records, and Internet information from Bill Buchanan, Helena Boyd, GRONI, IrishGenealogy.ie, and FamilySearch.org.
